Business Brief
Considering Outsourcing
Over the past 18 years, Synthesis has built relationships with dozens of professionals who are considered experts in just one field. We have cybrarians (list researchers), copywriters, accountants, designers and outbound telephone sales professionals who handle our day-to-day marketing and business needs and work through us to handle our clients' marketing and organizational needs.
Why did we choose to use sub-contractors vs. employees? The most obvious reason is the cost vs. the amount of work we have on a week-to-week basis. Using ad-hoc, project-based experts works for us and it seems to work best for many businesses that do not require 30-40 hour onsite staff.
But there are drawbacks on both sides of the equation - both from the business owner contracting outside help to the virtual assistant working with the entrepreneur. We understand - we work on both ends of the spectrum.
Over the summer we polled 100 entrepreneurs who utilize Virtual Assistants and 100 Virtual Assistants who serve entrepreneurs. We asked 5 basic questions from what's your biggest headache to what's your greatest gain from the relationship.
Join us as we share our results and answer any questions you might have about the advantages of Virtual Assistance. We'll have two of our top experts on the line - Julie Froneberger, Synthesis Project Manager, who handles all administrative tasks from database set up to outbound telephone calling and Kevin Elam, Synthesis Marketing Director, who handles all things design and web-related. Should make for a lively discussion!
