Are you a manager who just wants the ‘down and dirty’ skinny on current clients, such as the last time they were contacted, who manages them, who referred them in the first place? There’s a great, little-used report in ACT! called Contact Status that gives some terrific detail.
First, create a lookup of your current clients (or any group of people you would like to examine). Then click Reports | Contact Status | Current Lookup:

This simple report gives you a concise snapshot of the last meeting, last letter, last reach (which is another way of saying ‘Call Completed’), even the last date and time the contact was ‘touched’ – Last Edit and by whom – Last Edited By.
Use this report to judge whether you are doing as good a job as you think you are staying in front of your current clients and following up with prospects.
If you know you have reached some people and it is not reflected in these numbers, time to step up your use of ACT! It doesn’t serve anyone to have information in your head or on paper. Make a practice of getting all information, every ‘touch’ into ACT! to ensure this report reflects accurate activity.
