One of the most frequent questions I get is this: I am trying to create labels for a Group of people but it keeps reverting to the current contact.
Highlighting a Group doesn’t Open the Group, it just…well, highlights it! Keep an eye out for a very useful icon in ACT! – the Lookup Icon:
This handy little tool will do exactly what it says – Create a Lookup of the Group you are trying to target.
This icon is also found on the calendar (where you can create a lookup of anyone on your calendar):
It’s in your Opportunity List, allowing you to create a lookup of everyone in your database with an Opportunity scheduled:
It’s even on your Task List:
I use this Create a Lookup feature to run a Directory Report, Sales by Contact Report or Activity Report, for example. Keep an eye out for this handy icon and see how it will enhance your ACT! experience.
